Guatemala Huehuetenango El Sauco

Our first offering from Guatemala comes from Armando Gomez’s family farm, Chq’Ul. Armando has been working these lands since he was 23 years old, eventually purchasing the estate from his uncles in 1995.

This specific lot is shade grown beneath native canopy trees, most notably the saúco (elderberry tree), which gives this exceptional lot its name.

We roast this coffee to a full medium to develop its rich body, pulling out deep notes of dark chocolate, plum, nougat, and browned butter.
